This is a great opportunity to showcase the our music to professional ears. Keep watching this space as you never know what may happen!

November 26, 2008 - The Bear feels The Love

In the days of digital this and digital that it is good to lay things bear. This Friday, Novemebr 28 at 8 AM tune in old school to 106.9 on the FM dial in the Ottawa area or listen online  to some acoustic Loudlove live in studio. Yessir, just musicians and their tools - carpenters of sound. Whatever your doing Fraiday at 8, if you are listening to the Bear we hope you enjoy something genuine in a manufactured world.

November 5, 2008 - Fantastic Fall

So we've been busy like crazy over the last little bit. Still heading out to the East Coast once a month, local shows and a new single, Red Grid Shines on radio stations coast to coast. You can buy this single online (look to your right --->) or at End Hits at 407 Dalhousie St. in Ottawa. We recently welcomed Elite Guitars to the growing Loudlove family as a guitar sponsor. Jeff and the rest of the gang at Elite have been huge supporters an of what we are trying to do and they have definitely opened doors for us with great things to come - much thanks Jeff. Those of you who came out to the Live Lounge in Ottawa on October 31 got to see an over the top show. With sell out crowd of over 300 people in attendance (only the second time the venue has sold out I was told), lots of crazy costumes and two hours of mighty power from Loudlove it was one for the books. If you missed it you can read a review from Radio Rock Cafe here. These people came up unsolicited from Montreal and experienced Loudlove for the first time. If reading isn't your thing, check out this video of Emile "Big Pimpin" Leitch laying waste to his keyboards (Roland VK-8 and a Nord Electro 2) in the Loudlove song, In the Morning. Enjoy

August29, 2008 - Rainbow Return

After a summer of healing up and working in the woodshed Loudlove are ready to rip it up at the Rainbow on Friday, September 5. Our good friends from Halifax Faded Blue will be warming up the crowd. Come on out to kick your weekend off right while we get back in the saddle again.

July 7, 2008 - You can’t stop this train.

It’s been a while since our last update on the website and although procrastination may have played a part, we have been very busy over the last couple of months. Touring to the East Coast monthly, 401 Corridor jaunts, local shows, radio interviews, charity events and just being five dudes with friends, families and full time jobs keep us pretty busy. Fate has a funny way of pulling the hand break on even for a juggernaut like Loudlove. This past weekend following a show Friday night to a packed house at the Red Rooster in Burlington and another big crowd at the Merchant Tap House in Kingston on Saturday, three of the bands member’s were involved in a very serious car accident after having been hit by another car at 4AM on the 401 heading home to Ottawa. By luck or intervention of some kind no one was killed. The OPP were amazed that anyone lived considering the speed and damage to the car. After a stay at the Kingston General (big thanks to all the ER / Trauma staff there, the OPP, Fireman, Paramedics and Good Samaritan driving the big rig who was 1st on the scene) the lads are healing and reflecting on the firm kick in the old psyche. Some of us went by the salvage yard to see what could have been a coffin on four wheels. In the light of day the violence of the crash was jaw dropping. We’ll be putting our feet up for a little bit to heal, recharge and regroup. This has only hardened our resolve and reaffirmed that we are doing something we love. It is not for money or fame but for our love of life and passion for music that fuels the Loudlove fire. Go hug someone you care about and tell them you love them – don’t wait ‘cause you never, ever know.

April 23, 2008 - Hope Helps

If you want to do something really good and at the same time have fun, have some drinks, hear some music, check out people and all with your feet in the sand and your friends by your side then come out to Hope Volleyball SummerFest on July 12. HOPE's flagship Volleyball SummerFest event combines recreational volleyball with live rock entertainment. Each year, more than 25,000 players and spectators flock to Mooney's Bay Beach in Ottawa for the greatest summer party in the region. These participants have helped HOPE donate over $3.5 million in support of more than 100 local charities. Not bad for a group of friends that wanted to make a difference. We'll be sending out our Love just as the volleyball is wrapping up as one of three headliners. We HOPE to see you there.

April 15 , 2008 - The Latest and Greatest

More news? Yessir! Being the hardworking lads we are here is a video of an acoustic performance at the Fred FM studio in Fredericton NB with host Sean Crawford of "Sending Out Your Love". This song has been recently written and we hope to record it soon. This was done live to air which is always lots of fun. Keep watching this space the Loudlove Train is picking up steam.

April 14, 2008 - Lord Have Mersey.

Loudlove was off to the East Coast over the last week playing in Fredericton NB and Liverpool NS. All that can be said is WOW. First stop was in Fredericton for an in studio performance at Fred FM. The whole crew there are great. Sean Crawford host of the Gettin' Home show was more than good to us. For a station to show us this kind of support is a wonderful thing. After this we headed over for a tour of the Los Cabos drumstick factory. I am no drummer but the quality that goes into making these drumsticks is amazing. Larry, Stephanie and Mark (you are the s*** dude) are some of the nicest people we have met and their support of Loudlove is a wonderful thing. That night we rocked the Capital in Fredericton to a small but mighty crowd. There is no such thing as a show in vain and with a invitation to come back and a song in rotation on the local airwaves we will be back for sure. Bridgewater NS was our next stop for an interview at CKBW. Leitha Haysom was fantastic host and again the support from these people is more than you could ever ask for or expect. Then there was Liverpool. Where can I start? We were staying and playing at the Mersey House a 105 year old hotel, restaurant and live music venue in beautiful downtown Liverpool. Hosted by Michael and Heather Loveridge this place sets a new precedent in live music venues. Michael and Heather raised the bar so high that we would consider driving the 18 hours from Ottawa just to play there on a regular basis. They fed us, lodged us and kept us "entertained" until the wee hours of the morning. They have put on over 650 live music shows in the past three years and truly believe in the power of live music. Special mention to Geoff "the Chef" for keeping us fed and Melissa for keeping the glasses filled and taking us on a late night Liverpool tour. We'll be back baby - spread the Love

March 22, 2008 - In the Morning our new single.

February 23, 2008 - Thank you.

We wanted to thnk of of you who came out to our recent sold out show at the Rainbow in Ottawa. Although it was a cold night outside the Rainbow was steamy with all you gorgeous people drinking and dancing the night away. We'll be on the road for the next month and then it is back to the Rainbow on March 28.

January 5, 2008 - New Year, New Conquests

Happy New Year to all of you Loudlover's out there. Here's hoping 2008 is filled with good things. We are kicking off the year with a few shows to bring the Mighty Power of Loudlove to people here in Ottawa and down the much travelled 401 corridoor. For all thse inquires we get about CD's and downloads from ITunes etc., you'll soon be able to get both here. In the meantime, enjoy some tour video taken at Lydia's in Saskatoon on a cold Monday night. The song is "What I'd Do" for an encore at the end of the night. People cheering and screaming, buyig cd's, sexy dancing babes and fans with well wishes.

December 1, 2007 - How the West was Won

Well, our tour across western Canada was a great success and after logging 14,000KM in 22 days, playing 16 shows we are all happy to be home. So hapy in fact that we are already booking dates to go out east in late February and March and are taking the venues we played on our tour up on their offers of more shows in the summer of '08. If getting invited back to a venue is a sign of a tours success than we are batting 1000. To celebrate our return to Ottawa we are having a roof raising homecoming party at the Live Lounge - 126.5 York St. on Friday, December 7.

November 5, 2007 - Sudbury and Thunder Bay feel the Love

Sudbury and Thunder Bay were the first stops on the 07 / 11 Loudlove tour. If these first three shows are any indication on how the rest of the tour will go then it is already a success. With a great reception in Sudbury and a stellar night in Thunder Bay, Loudlove were asked to stay for a second night to play at Kilroy's to fill in for White Oklahoma Cowbell who couldn't make it. Not a bad start to our tour. Today the Loudlove train rolls on to Banff by way of Regina for a radio promo apperance . Keep checking this space for updates.

September 18, 2007 - The Beast from the East is coming

As summer rolls in to fall we are looking to roll out west. Loudlove has been keeping very busy planning a Westren Tour for November of this year. Calls are being made, emails sent, press kits and CD's mailed to fill dates on the calendar. We've been RV shopping to get some wheels to travel in style and comfort. There are more dates being added and you can help the cause by telling your friends we are coming to a town near them. You can also request Loudlove on Fuel 90.3 in Calgary which would be a huge help. Don't be shy, email often. If any of you are in the Toronto area, come on out to the El Mocambo on Sept. 24. We have an industry showcase early that evening and then a show for the general public - doors open at 8PM.

August 7, 2007 - Summertime Crazy

Loudlove has been keeping very busy this summer - no lounging by the lake here. With the release of our new album, "Seven Days to Shine" we have been playing shows, booking shows and taking care of the business aspect of being a band. Lots of people have been asking where they can get CD's. We will have them for sale online and in select retail locations in Ottawa very soon - keep checking this space for updates. As always you can purchase the CD at any Loudlove show.

July 17, 2007 - 30,000 feel the Mighty Power

Loudlove made its Hope Volleyball Summerfest debut on July 14 and all we can say is WOW. Sharing the stage with Finger 11 and Matt Mays & El Torpedo was a great experience; rocking a crowd of tens of thousands was simply amazing. The volunteers who make it all happen deserve a big round of applause for the hard work and long hours they put in. A special thank you to Laura Andrews who made us all feel like rock stars.

July 14, 2007 - CD release party sucess

Many thanks to all of you who came out and made our CD release party a success. The Live Lounge was packed and jumping all night long. Special thanks to the Red Light Saints who did a great job warming up the crowd. the Loudlove spin to win wheel was a big hit and congrats go out to all the prize winners and especially Emily R. who won a private Loudlove show at her house (although rumour has it it may not be so private). Keep requesting the debut single, "Red Grid Shines" on Live 88.5.

July 5, 2007 - CD release party July 13

We are ready to let our baby out in the world. July 13 at the Live Lounge - 126 York St. is the place to be. To show a little support for our fellow Big Money Shot winners the first 50 people who show up with a new Tim's Myth or Donkey Punch EP will get in for half price. The Red Light Saints will be warming up the crowd so come on out for a night of great music, good fun and a few suprises. Be sure to request the debut single "Red Grid Shines" on Live 88.5.

May 8, 2007 - It's coming......

The time is almost at hand for the new Loudlove album to land in the hands of the masses. Late last week we uploaded 4 brand new songs to our MySpace page . The album will be called Seven Days to Shine and for those who like to look for meaning in things, the album title reflects the seven days we had to record. We are finalizing the artwork now and should have the CD ready for the middle of June. In the mean time head over MySpace where you can hear four new songs. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

In other news, Loudlove will be appearing on Rogers Daytime, Thursday, May 10 to perform two songs from the new album acoustically. The show is on channel 22 (in Ottawa) at 11AM. Keep checking this space.

March 18, 2007 - Album Updates - it's going to be killer.

The new Loudlove album is progressing along nicely. The recording was completed in eight days at Mixart Studios in Montreal between February 23 and March 3 with fourteen hour days being the norm at the studio. Lots of hard work was put in and the end product is so worthwhile, the sound is HUGE. As this is being typed the album is being mixed at Mixart and will be off for mastering later this month. Peter and producer Greg Smith are putting in long days to dial in the massive sound that we were able to capture at the studio. If the album gods are with us it will be ready for release around the 1st of May. Keep checking this space for updates.

February 13, 2007 - Busy Boys.

2007 has been a very exciting and productive year thus far in the Loudlove camp. We have been preparing to record a full length album and have been honing our craft in the jam space. We sourced out an amazing producer - Greg Smith, a great guy who has a wealth of experience working with such artists as Bedouin Soundclash, Arcade Fire, Jonh Leloup, Loco Lacase and K OS to name a few. The album will be recorded at Mixart, a world class studio in Montreal who's client list in the last couple of months includes, Santana, Arcade Fire, Wolf Parade and many more. Recording will begin on February 23 and we should have a CD ready for distribution no later than May 1. As a little treat we've got the Loudlove portion of Roger's Cable 22 Big Money Shot TV special. This is from the Live 88.5 Big Money Shot Finals on December 15, 2006. The two songs Roger's used are Anifya (currently the live acoustic version is in rotation on Live 885) and Nicole. Enjoy.

December 16, 2006 - The Train Rolls On.

Well the Live 88.5 Big Money Shot is behind us and the Loudlove train continues to roll. Congratulations to Tim's Myth who won the finals and the prize that comes with it. We wish them all of the best in there future endeavors. To the fans who have supported Loudlove and believed in us, we are truly thankful for your kind words and well wishes. The hardest part for us is not "losing" (let's not forget we have $50,000, the support of Live 88.5 behind us and the greatest fans, friends and families a band could ask for) but seeing the disappointment and disbelief on your faces. We are more resolved then ever to make you all proud and are looking forward to getting in the studio to record a new album in the New Year to further our course for world domination. Each and every one of you who believe in Loudlove is worth more than anything. We've said it before and we'll say it again, thank you to all of you, without you we would be nothing.

November 30, 2006 - The 15th approaches....

There is lots of excitement in the Loudlove camp as the December 15 finals for the Live 88.5 Big Money Shot draws closer. This will be a Loudlove show you do not want to miss. We need all of our Loudlovers in the house that night to make as much noise as possible and to shake your money maker like there is no tomorrow. We promise you a show that won't be soon forgotten. The show will be at Capital Music Hall (128 York St. in the Byward Market) and the doors open at 7PM. We would recommend coming early as this event will be a sellout and there are no advanced ticket sales. See you on December 15.

September 5, 2006- EP is SOLD OUT

We've had lots of people contacting us recently to ask about getting a Loudlove CD. We are completely sold out of the 2000 copies we had made. Plans are in the works to be in the studio in the next few weeks and being that we are not "studio creampuffs" who require months to record, we'll have a new disc with some killer new tunes available as soon as possible (ETA early '07). Drop us a line via our contact page and we'll be happy to get you a copy as soon as it comes of the press.
